We were both raised and educated in Melbourne.
John chose a career in nursing and became one of the first few men to enter the profession. After almost 35 years of nursing he has retired to pursue his other passion as a vigneron.
Cenza’s love of languages inspired her to become a language teacher. She joined the Catholic education system and is well respected and loved by her students and peers alike. She regularly leads student tour groups to Italy and France as part of their language education experience.
She is truly passionate in her work and is not quite ready to retire from her first love. However she still manages to be hands on and is an integral part of all operations at Jemari Wines.
The small nature of our business allows us to manage everything from the vineyard to the winery. In doing so, we can keep our cost base very low and therefore pass on the savings to our members.

We produce a limited quantity of fine red wine so our members will always have first access to our new releases.
Our small vineyard is situated on rich farming soil in the tiny location of Dhurringile, in the Goulburn Valley in north central Victoria.
It is a warm climate region which is ideally suited to red varieties.
Jemari vineyard grows Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon and a small number of Viognier vines . We also source a small quantity of Merlot grapes from a nearby vineyard, which as with the Viognier , is used in our special blends.
All work at Jemari Wines is carried out by hand. This includes pruning, canopy management, bottling and labelling.
Our wine does not undergo filtration thereby maintaining its full characteristics.
We put in a lot of effort so that you can appreciate our wine, so please…
